We are pleased to announce our new chair for the 2014-2015 school year will be Elizabeth (Beth) Carpenter! In the past, she has served as Secretary and has been a member of the student advisory board since sophomore year. She is approaching her fourth year with a major in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Languages and Intercultural Studies (ALIS with a concentration in Spanish). She hopes to pursue a career in pre-health.
Here are a few words from Beth:
I am extremely excited to serve as the new Chair of the Student Advisory Board. This coming academic year of 2014-2015, I hope to continue the Board's role as a faculty-student liaison by representing students in faculty undergraduate curriculum committee meetings, creating more opportunities for an ongoing, progressive discussion between students and Dr. Bellamkonda about current issues and concerns in our department, and maintaining existing events for students such as the undergraduate research lab poster event co-hosted with BROS and BMES. I'm thrilled to be working with such fantastic and competent new and returning members of the Board.
The Biomedical Engineering Student Advisory Board (bmedSAB) serves as the liaison between undergraduate students in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and faculty and staff.
